BNI Encourages Public to Plan Finances During Ramadan Through wondr Application
PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, is encouraging the public to utilise the Ramadan and Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah period not only to increase transaction activity but also to begin planning their financial future in a more structured manner. Through the wondr by BNI digital application, the bank has introduced a Growth feature designed to assist customers in setting up long-term financial planning in a practical and integrated way.
BNI’s Corporate Secretary, Okki Rushartomo, stated that the Ramadan period through Eid al-Fitr is characterised by increased economic activity, including needs for mudik (homecoming) travel, distribution of Hari Raya allowances (THR), and various consumption requirements. Nevertheless, the public must continue to manage their finances carefully to maintain proper planning.
“Through digital features such as Growth in the wondr by BNI application, we want to help customers plan their financial goals more structurally, so that every aspiration can be prepared with clear and consistent steps,” said Okki in a statement.
He added that the Growth feature is designed to help customers prepare for various long-term financial needs, such as education, marriage, and family future planning. The Ramadan period is considered an opportune time for reflection and establishing better financial planning.
Within the Growth feature, wondr by BNI provides various financial instruments that customers can utilise, including time-based savings and deposits on a single digital platform. One available feature is Life Goals, which allows customers to save for specific purposes by setting fund targets, timeframes, and monthly contributions flexibly.
Additionally, customers can utilise the digital deposit feature with interest rates of up to 2.50 per cent per annum and withdrawal flexibility at any time without penalties. The feature is also equipped with personal financial target monitoring and support for asset management in various currencies.
Meanwhile, the wondr by BNI application also supports various transaction needs during Ramadan through Eid. Customers can benefit from QRIS payments at various merchants, use TapCash for mudik travel such as toll and transportation transactions, and conduct fund transfers conveniently to share THR with family and relatives across different regions.
Okki emphasised that BNI continues to strengthen digital service innovation to provide easier financial management experiences that remain relevant to current public needs. “Through wondr by BNI, we want to provide practical financial management experience and help customers grow financially according to their life goals,” he said.
By utilising these digital services, the public is expected to balance consumption needs during Ramadan and Eid with long-term financial planning. BNI believes that disciplined financial management from an early stage is key to achieving various life goals more effectively in the future.
