PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, is encouraging customers to manage their spending more intelligently during Ramadan through the Insight feature in the wondr by BNI application. This initiative aligns with predictions of increased consumer spending in the lead-up to and during the fasting month and in preparation for Eid al-Fitr.

BNI’s Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that Ramadan is characterised by increased activity and spending needs, ranging from daily consumption and communal fast-breaking meals to shopping for Eid preparations.

Consequently, BNI has introduced a feature that helps customers monitor cash flow in a more structured manner. “Through the Insight feature in wondr by BNI, we want to help customers monitor and understand their spending patterns more easily and transparently,” Okki said in a written statement on Saturday (14 March 2026).

Through the Insight feature, customers can view a transaction summary that is automatically categorised by spending type. The system presents a monthly recap that facilitates a more comprehensive evaluation of personal financial condition.

BNI believes that transparency of transaction data can help customers identify spending patterns, adjust budgets, and avoid wasteful spending that often occurs during Ramadan.

Beyond the Insight feature, the wondr by BNI application is equipped with a Growth feature that offers various financial products to support medium and long-term financial planning. Available products include Time Deposit Savings (Life Goals), deposits in Indonesian rupiah or foreign currencies (USD and SGD), mutual funds, and retail bonds and sukuk.

“Through this approach, wondr by BNI functions not only as a transaction application but also helps customers develop healthier and more planned financial habits,” Okki said.

On the transaction side, wondr by BNI offers diverse services such as QRIS Tap, scheduled transfers, group transfers, e-wallet top-ups, virtual accounts, express TapCash top-ups, and bill and credit card payments all within one application.

BNI hopes that the Insight feature and integrated services in wondr by BNI can provide a practical solution for customers to maintain financial stability during Ramadan. “May this year’s Ramadan be an opportunity for our customers to be increasingly wise in managing their finances and achieving their financial goals together with wondr by BNI,” Okki emphasised.

With this strengthening of digital services, BNI is targeting improved financial literacy and discipline among customers, enabling the public to experience Ramadan and celebrate Eid al-Fitr with healthier and more controlled financial conditions.
