BGN suspends 463 SPPG for 10 days for data verification
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has temporarily suspended 463 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) for 10 days to complete and verify data in the restructuring of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme.
BGN Head Sudaryono said the agency is currently reviewing SPPG units that have been operating while checking the consistency of kitchen data with the beneficiaries served.
“According to current records, 27,485 are operating. We are then reviewing them, profiling the kitchens and also checking the beneficiaries,” Sudaryono said after a limited coordination meeting on improving MBG governance at the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Jakarta, Wednesday.
Of the 27,485 SPPG recorded as operating, 27,022 have obtained provisional determination letters, while the remaining 463 still need to complete their data.
“These 463 we are suspending for 10 days so they can complete the data we require, namely the kitchen profile, kitchen photos, and the school profile,” he said.
Sudaryono explained that the process is carried out to ensure every registered SPPG is genuinely operating and serving beneficiaries in accordance with its reports.
BGN is also matching information regarding kitchen locations and MBG distribution destinations, both to schools and integrated service posts (posyandu).
According to Sudaryono, when an SPPG reports providing services to a particular school, BGN sends a confirmation to the school to verify the information.
“When a kitchen reports sending MBG to a particular school, we send an email to the school, we send a letter, confirming whether this kitchen really serves your school,” he said.
He said verification is carried out on all SPPG units given that the number of operating kitchens has reached more than 27,000.
According to the BGN Head, 27,022 SPPG units have been orderly in their data reporting, while the 463 temporarily suspended units will be examined one by one.
“So we cross-check everything because the data volume is large; we cross-check all 27,000 kitchens,” Sudaryono said.
He stressed that the suspension is part of the verification process and therefore does not necessarily indicate that all the affected SPPG units are not operating.
“My point is, we must ensure that among those we temporarily suspend, it does not turn out that their kitchens have not been operating all this time. So we truly ensure that these kitchens are operating and serving those schools,” he said.
Sudaryono said data improvement is necessary so that information regarding kitchens and MBG beneficiaries becomes more accurate and consistent with service conditions on the ground.
