Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has\ntemporarily suspended 463 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) for\n10 days to complete and verify data in the restructuring of the Free\nNutritious Meal (MBG) programme.<\/p>\n
BGN Head Sudaryono said the agency is currently reviewing SPPG units\nthat have been operating while checking the consistency of kitchen data\nwith the beneficiaries served.<\/p>\n
\u201cAccording to current records, 27,485 are operating. We are then\nreviewing them, profiling the kitchens and also checking the\nbeneficiaries,\u201d Sudaryono said after a limited coordination meeting on\nimproving MBG governance at the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Jakarta,\nWednesday.<\/p>\n
Of the 27,485 SPPG recorded as operating, 27,022 have obtained\nprovisional determination letters, while the remaining 463 still need to\ncomplete their data.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese 463 we are suspending for 10 days so they can complete the\ndata we require, namely the kitchen profile, kitchen photos, and the\nschool profile,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Sudaryono explained that the process is carried out to ensure every\nregistered SPPG is genuinely operating and serving beneficiaries in\naccordance with its reports.<\/p>\n
BGN is also matching information regarding kitchen locations and MBG\ndistribution destinations, both to schools and integrated service posts\n(posyandu).<\/p>\n
According to Sudaryono, when an SPPG reports providing services to a\nparticular school, BGN sends a confirmation to the school to verify the\ninformation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen a kitchen reports sending MBG to a particular school, we send\nan email to the school, we send a letter, confirming whether this\nkitchen really serves your school,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said verification is carried out on all SPPG units given that the\nnumber of operating kitchens has reached more than 27,000.<\/p>\n
According to the BGN Head, 27,022 SPPG units have been orderly in\ntheir data reporting, while the 463 temporarily suspended units will be\nexamined one by one.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo we cross-check everything because the data volume is large; we\ncross-check all 27,000 kitchens,\u201d Sudaryono said.<\/p>\n
He stressed that the suspension is part of the verification process\nand therefore does not necessarily indicate that all the affected SPPG\nunits are not operating.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy point is, we must ensure that among those we temporarily suspend,\nit does not turn out that their kitchens have not been operating all\nthis time. So we truly ensure that these kitchens are operating and\nserving those schools,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
