BGN Dismisses Claims of 100 Fictitious Nutrition Service Points in Cilacap as Invalid
The Regional Coordinator of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for Central Java, Reza Mahendra, has responded to reports regarding the discovery of 100 allegedly fictitious nutrition service points (SPPG) in Cilacap Regency, stating the information is not entirely valid. “The information is not valid if it claims all 100 SPPG are fictitious,” Reza said in a written message on Tuesday (23/6/2026).
According to Reza, the 100 SPPG in Cilacap already possess identification numbers, meaning they were registered through the portal before it was closed. He explained that these points were recorded in the BGN portal prior to the decision to impose a moratorium on new SPPG additions, indicating they were in the preparation phase.
However, Reza admitted that some of the 100 SPPG sites in Cilacap have not progressed with the construction of their kitchens. He was unable to explain the reason for the stalled development, suggesting that the relevant foundations should be questioned about why they did not proceed with building.
Regarding whether the suspected fictitious SPPG sites would eventually operate, Reza stated that the agency is currently enforcing a moratorium on new SPPG. “The leadership’s current policy is a moratorium on new SPPG. So, there will be no additions until the refocusing of beneficiaries is completed,” he said. Reza also noted that he had asked the BGN coordinator for Cilacap to coordinate with Acting Regent Ammy Amalia Fatma Surya, who had previously disclosed the findings.
