JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has partnered with the Police’s MBG Task Force and Bareskrim to address reports of illegal trading of SPPG service points in several regions. BGN Deputy Head Sony Sonjaya said the move follows numerous reports from citizens claiming to have been scammed by individuals posing as BGN officials. ‘Today, I coordinated with the Police’s MBG Task Force and spoke with the Chief of Bareskrim and the Director of General Criminal Affairs regarding the numerous reports from several regions,’ Sony said at Bareskrim Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Monday, 25 May 2026. Sony revealed that police have already handled several fraud reports. In West Java, suspects have been apprehended, among other regions. Coordination has also been carried out with police in Tangerang and East Lombok as more reports emerge from the public. Meanwhile, Inspector General Nurworo Danang, head of the Police’s MBG Task Force, affirmed the police’s full support for enforcing the law against alleged misuse of the MBG programme, including SPPG point trading. ‘The MBG Task Force fully supports legal enforcement against those misusing the MBG programme for profit through illegal or unlawful means,’ he added. The public is therefore urged to report any suspected violations or deviations related to the programme immediately. ‘We urge all members of the public to report any violations or deviations, particularly regarding alleged point trading, to local law enforcement authorities, whether at police stations or provincial police headquarters,’ he added. The police consider monitoring the MBG programme essential as it not only supports community nutrition but also generates economic activity and improves public welfare.
