Indonesia’s National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has temporarily halted operations of three Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). One of the food preparation facilities operating under the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme that was closed is allegedly owned by the wife of a prosecutor.

“Yes, that’s correct,” said Bagus Naeni Santoso, BGN Regional Coordinator for Bima Regency, when confirmed by detikBali on Thursday (12 March 2026).

Bagus explained that the three temporarily suspended SPPG units are located in Langgudu District, Parado Kuta Village in Parado District, and Bugis Village in Sape District.

“In total, there are three SPPG units that have been temporarily closed,” he stated.

However, Bagus did not provide detailed reasons for the temporary closure of the other two SPPG units. He explained only that one SPPG in Langgudu District was suspended because operational vehicles were not being used in accordance with regulations.

According to him, the operational vehicle at the Langgudu SPPG was being used by partners for shopping for kitchen supplies or from suppliers. However, the vehicle should only be used for operational purposes and transporting the MBG meals to schools.

“One SPPG in Langgudu District was temporarily suspended because it used the operational vehicle for supplier shopping,” he clarified.

Information obtained by detikBali indicates that the SPPG in Langgudu District that was closed by BGN is allegedly owned by a prosecutor’s wife. However, Bagus was reluctant to comment further on this information.

“In the near future it will be active again,” he concluded.
