Best franchise developer

JAKARTA (JP): PT Tri Saga Sarana, the franchiser of TGI Friday's, Front Row Sports Grill and Italiannis, has been awarded the International Franchise Developer of the Year for 1997 by their holding company.

Every year, American holding company Friday's Hospitality Worldwide gives the award to one of its franchisers in 73 countries around the world.

"I have nothing else to say except keep on going," said Budhy Soeryo, PT Tri Saga Sarana's regional manager, during the award celebration early this week.

TGI Friday's opened in Jakarta in 1995, while Front Row Sports Grill and Italiannis both opened last year.

PT Tri Saga Sarana was the first franchiser to open outlets of Front Row Sports Grill and Italiannis outside of America.
