Bendera Heritage Park Opens 24 Hours, Pramono: Not a Place for Sleeping
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has confirmed that Bendera Heritage Park in South Jakarta will be open to the public 24 hours a day. However, he cautioned that the park is not intended as a place for sleeping or overnight stays.
Pramono made these remarks following the official inauguration of Bendera Heritage Park, which represents an integration of three parks in South Jakarta, on Saturday 14 March 2026.
Pramono stated that the park would remain open throughout the day so residents could utilise it for various activities such as sports and recreation.
“This park is for communal use, not a place for sleeping,” Pramono told journalists at the site.
He explained that park management will deploy security personnel in the area. If visitors are found sleeping in the park, staff will issue reminders.
“If residents are found sleeping or loitering, there will certainly be security personnel who will remind them,” he said.
Bendera Heritage Park covers approximately 5.6 hectares and features a 1.2-kilometre jogging track, a multi-purpose sports field, and padel courts.
This green public space is the result of integrating three previously existing parks: Ayodya Park, Leuser Park, and Langsat Park.
The Jakarta regional administration hopes the park will serve as a new public space for residents to engage in activities whilst also increasing green space in Jakarta.
