Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Belajaraya Jakarta 2026 event, initiated by Semua Murid Semua Guru (SMSG), is scheduled for 2 May 2026 to showcase an excellent collaboration across various sectors in creating inclusive education in Indonesia.

The collaboration involves the government, education communities and organisations (KOP), academics, and many other influential figures who care about the development of Indonesia’s education ecosystem to make it increasingly inclusive.

“The more anchors we collaborate on, God willing, we can reduce disparities and improve access to education,” said educator and SMSG initiator Najelaa Shihab in Jakarta on Tuesday.

According to Najelaa, Belajaraya Jakarta 2026 is indeed a momentum but can accommodate shared interests to align perceptions on inclusive education.

The event will feature various public participation spaces such as Public Chats, Learning Classes, Community Booths, Work Exhibitions, and Music Performances that open up more inclusive, collaborative, and enjoyable learning spaces for all parties.

“Integrating our steps is very important to address education issues. Because if not, programmes will not achieve the expected impact if we only work with one stakeholder,” said Najelaa.

In Belajaraya Jakarta 2026, SMSG is engaging many parties including the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Bank Indonesia, 1000 KOPs affiliated with SMSG, the digital platform Canva, and the inclusive empowerment platform for persons with disabilities KONEKIN.

Around 10,000 participants consisting of parents, education activists, and teachers are targeted to liven up the event held at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, on 2 May 2026.

As a government representative, the Head of the Digital Literacy Development Centre of the Human Resources Development Agency of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi), Rizki Ameliah, stated that collaborative activities to create inclusive education are indeed needed because the education situation in Indonesia is so dynamic.

Therefore, programmes like Belajaraya need to be championed as a collective movement to realise education that is accessible to all parties.

“Our education today is very dynamic, so the key is cross-sector collaboration. The government cannot go it alone; we need to move together with communities, the private sector, and academics. Amid technological developments, including AI, we must not be afraid but literate and able to utilise them to enhance our skills,” said Rizki.
