Bekasi Chicken Noodle Seller Defrauded in Rp 1 Million Endorsement Deal, Business Forced to Close for Three Months
Bekasi — On that afternoon, Anggi Pamungkas (26) stood behind his chicken noodle and meatball cart in Karangbahagia District, Bekasi Regency, on Saturday (28 February 2026). His hands worked deftly preparing spices ahead of the breaking of the fast period to serve customer orders. However, his eyes betrayed a weariness he could not hide.
Amid widespread allegations of fraud in influencer promotion deals involving influencer Pandu Bone, alias Pandu Sulaeman, there emerged the story of a small trader struggling to survive in the harsh competition of commerce.
Anggi recounted that his chicken noodle and meatball business, which he established with his wife, was not a new venture. The stall had previously closed for three months due to economic strain and fierce competition.
“Because the economy was difficult and competition was heavy, our stall closed for three months. Eventually we reopened at the end of January 2026,” Anggi said when met by Kompas.com at his stall on Saturday.
“From before, I had already learned why our business was quiet. That’s why I hired an influencer so people would know about us,” he explained.
The desire to reintroduce his business led Anggi to contact influencer Pandu Sulaeman, known as pandu.bone, on 23 January 2026. He invited the influencer to attend the grand opening on 29 January 2026.
In the initial communication, Pandu reportedly offered a promotional rate of Rp 15 million. The amount shocked Anggi.
“Because I had already reached out, I might as well ask casually, ‘Is there a rate for small businesses?’” Anggi recalled.
“I already told him my budget was Rp 1 million, anything more we couldn’t afford,” he added.
After negotiation, Pandu reportedly agreed to accept the offer.
