BDNI gets $50m loans
JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed Bank Dagang Nasional Indonesia (BDNI) and the Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank (DKB) of Japan have signed a US$50 million bilateral, medium-term loan facility.
BDNI said the bilateral loan reflected DKB's confidence in BDNI, but did not elaborate.
BDNI and DKB entered into an agreement in 1991, establishing a joint venture bank, PT Indonesia Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank.
BDNI is Indonesia's third largest private bank with more than Rp 2 trillion (US$333 million) in capital and total assets of Rp 24.33 trillion as of last September.
DKB is one of Japan's biggest banks, with total assets of 52,590 billion yen (US$404 billion). (rid)
