Belitung - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, or BCA, is striving to boost digital transaction volumes through the myBCA application by organising the myBCA Belitung Multisport Festival 2026. This sports event will take place in Belitung on 25 and 26 April 2026 and will be attended by more than 1,000 participants from both within and outside the country. SVP Marketing Communication BCA, Adrian Hermansyah, stated that the company has not yet detailed the targeted myBCA transaction volume during the event. However, he is optimistic that the transaction achievement will be substantial, in line with the high enthusiasm of participants since the registration stage. In addition, BCA is encouraging transactions by offering promotions of up to 30 percent cashback for purchases at small and medium enterprises (UMKM) participating in the event. “When we opened registration, more than 1,000 people will participate in this event. So, one can imagine the economic value, from registration, not to mention for visits; if from out of town, they definitely need accommodation, hotel occupancy rises, transactions increase, that’s what we hope for,” he said during a press conference in Belitung on Friday (24/4/2026). The sports festival, in collaboration with MANA Group, features various competition categories, from standard-distance triathlon, 2-kilometre open water swim, to 5K, 10K, and 21K running events or half marathon. In addition, the organisers are presenting special categories for children such as Pho3nix Kids Run and Fun Run. Visitors can also enjoy an exhibition area open to the public, including various educational sessions prepared during the event. “I feel optimistic, even without data, that this will provide a real example in terms of transaction volume,” he said. BCA recorded that in the first quarter of 2026, 42 percent of BCA’s digital transaction volume was conducted through the myBCA application and 58 percent through the BCA Mobile application. The share of myBCA digital transactions increased compared to the first quarter of 2022, when transactions through myBCA were only 4 percent of the total transactions and 96 percent from BCA Mobile. This was accompanied by an increase in the number of myBCA users, which grew up to 26 times in the last four years or increased by 57 percent year-on-year (yoy).
