Banser to come to Jakarta?

I have heard that the Nahdlatul Ulama's (NU) task force,
Banser, plans to come to Jakarta. It was reported that in Jakarta
the task force would be directly involved in physical street
fights against any opponents to President Abdurrahman "Gus Dur"
Wahid.

Frankly speaking, I am extremely concerned about this matter,
and I am afraid the situation in the capital will be terrible if
the plan is carried out.

I wonder why the present political as well as security
condition is like this. Why in the world have the warmhearted
Indonesians become less friendly people who are ready to kill
each other simply for having differences of opinions?

We all, in particular all NU and Banser members, ought to
listen to Abdurrahman, who has expressed disagreement to the
plan. So, there is no need for them to come to Jakarta,
especially because there has been a guarantee from the husband of
our Vice President Megawati Soekarnoputri, Taufik Kiemas, and
also from kyai Langitan (most venerated NU ulemas).

Please, Gus Dur, do not let Banser members realize their plan!
