Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Mega Tbk is holding educational events for its customers on the latest tax administration system, Coretax, to help them manage their financial planning more effectively and efficiently in accordance with applicable regulations.

The seminar, conducted in collaboration with the Indonesian Association of Tax Consultants (IKPI) and FlazzTax, is being held because many business owners and the general public still lack a proper understanding of the Coretax system.

“This Coretax seminar is a form of appreciation for the trust and loyalty that customers have shown to Bank Mega,” said Director of Retail Banking at Bank Mega, Heriwan Gazali, in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Heriwan said that the company is also providing a forum for discussion on Coretax, especially in the lead-up to the tax reporting period in March for individuals and corporations.

According to him, the company is also bringing in local tax consultants as speakers to provide perspectives that are relevant to the needs of local customers.

Heriwan explained that to date, the Coretax seminar has been held 27 times in more than 15 cities, including Medan, Lampung, Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Solo, Semarang, Surabaya, Bali, Makassar, Ternate, Samarinda, Pekanbaru, Balikpapan, and Jakarta.

Through the Coretax seminar, he said that customers can discuss directly with experts so that they can have the right references in synchronising data on the self-service tax service application.

Thus, customers can understand the latest tax regulations and reporting systems more comprehensively.

In addition, he added, for the company, this is also an opportunity to strengthen long-term relationships with customers by providing relevant, educational and value-added services.

Director of Citra Global Consulting and Managing Partner of KAP GIAR, Ikhwan Ashadi, said that the bank’s trust in engaging consultants shows that this profession has a great responsibility as a bridge between the interests of taxpayers and the policies set by the central government authorities.

“We appreciate Bank Mega’s move in providing a relevant and educational discussion forum for its customers,” said Ikhwan, who also represents IKPI.

Through this Coretax system education, Ikhwan said that Bank Mega is committed to providing professional perspectives that help customers address the latest tax administration challenges, while also strengthening trust between banks, consultants and taxpayers.
