Ramadan this year sees Bank Mandiri raising the spirit of “Appreciate the Moment of Blessing, Fulfil Worship with Full Devotion.” With this theme, Bank Mandiri Region VI/West Java has reinforced its role as a strategic government partner in maintaining financial system stability and supporting the smooth running of national economic activity during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri period.

To this end, the bank has strengthened an integrated service ecosystem by preparing Rp4.58 trillion in cash for ATM/CRM replenishment from 24 February to 25 March 2026. This allocation represents a 5% year-on-year increase compared to the corresponding period last year of Rp4.36 trillion, in line with projected increases in public transaction requirements during the holy month through the peak exodus period and Eid al-Fitr.

Regional CEO of Bank Mandiri Region VI/West Java, Nila Mayta Dwi Rihandjani, stated: “This liquidity preparedness is part of an accelerated growth strategy to maintain domestic consumption momentum whilst strengthening grassroots economic circulation across various regions.”

She noted that this measure was designed through prudent liquidity planning based on national transaction projections, and strengthened by optimisation of distribution infrastructure and technology. The ecosystem-based approach ensures adequate liquidity, service stability, and delivers sustainable advantages in meeting public transaction requirements.

“The provision of cash represents Bank Mandiri’s commitment to delivering integrated synergies across all our service networks, ensuring public transaction needs during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr are met optimally,” Nila said.

She explained that average daily cash replenishment requirements are estimated at Rp120 billion to Rp130 billion per day, reflecting increased consumption activity, payment of salaries and religious allowances (THR) for civil servants, and public mobility ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri.

These projections are based on historical transaction patterns and domestic economic growth trends that show significant increases during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr periods.

In support of smooth distribution of circulating currency during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri, Bank Mandiri is actively participating in Bank Indonesia’s SERAMBI (Semarak Rupiah Ramadan and Berkah Idul Fitri) 2026 programme. Collaboration occurs through new and circulating Rupiah exchange services with digital ordering mechanisms via the PINTAR BI application, as well as mobile cash services and joint exchange points with other banks across various regions.

This participation forms part of integrated synergies between the banking industry and monetary authorities to ensure the exchange process occurs in an orderly, secure manner that supports payment system stability amid increased public transaction requirements ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

Beyond cash and interbank transaction liquidity readiness, Bank Mandiri ensures all electronic service channels operate optimally during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period. The bank, which carries the BMRI ticker code, operates 1,203 ATM/CRM units and 16,209 EDC machines across West Java to support customer transaction smoothness whilst strengthening the national payment ecosystem.

Customers can also optimise various banking and lifestyle transaction needs through Livin’ by Mandiri, which now has over 4.6 million registered users. Through this digital service, the public can meet various requirements such as balance checking, transfers, monthly bill payments and e-commerce transactions, e-money and e-wallet top-ups, and QRIS payments. Customers can even book train and plane tickets as well as tourist destinations through the Sukha feature on this super app.

From the business ecosystem perspective, Livin’ Merchant has been utilised by over 329,331 UMKM traders, whilst Kopra by Mandiri is used by 27,077 users from the entrepreneur segment to support integrated transaction and cash management.

“Through strengthening a connected digital ecosystem from retail to wholesale, Bank Mandiri delivers sustainable advantages in banking services whilst providing added value to customers and business operators throughout Indonesia,” she added.

Bank Mandiri also ensures optimal information technology network readiness by establishing an IT monitoring team on 24-hour standby to anticipate transaction surges across all electronic payment channels.

With these measures, Bank Mandiri is confident it can maintain customer trust whilst strengthening its role as a strategic government partner in promoting national economic stability and growth during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
