Bank Mandiri: Mandiri Agen transaction value reaches Rp3.5 trillion in early 2026
Jakarta — PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk recorded Mandiri Agen’s transaction value (branchless agent banking services) growing 89 percent year on year to surpass Rp3.5 trillion in the first month of 2026. The frequency of Mandiri Agen transactions in the same period rose 44 percent (yoy) to 2.34 million. According to the company, this increase in frequency and value demonstrates public trust in Mandiri Agen. Consumer Banking Director Saptari, in a statement in Jakarta on Friday, said Mandiri Agen is a core strategy to expand the financial ecosystem beyond branch networks. He noted that strengthening the role of agents is part of Bank Mandiri’s digital transformation to build a sustainable competitive advantage through increasingly solid ecosystem integration of services. “The Mandiri Agen programme is our close collaboration with the community to build economic independence for villages and accelerate people’s economy,” he said. At the start of 2026, all key performance indicators recorded positive growth, reflecting rising public confidence in agent-based banking services that are reaching further into Indonesia’s remote areas. Mandiri Agen is a branchless banking service from Bank Mandiri that collaborates with SMEs (UMKM) to service various banking transactions and other financial services. The presence of Mandiri Agen forms part of Bank Mandiri’s efforts to expand financial inclusion while promoting sustainable community economic empowerment. Through Mandiri Agen, the public can access a range of financial transactions, from cash withdrawals, transfers, to paying various bills. Additionally, there is a service for opening savings accounts, as well as access to information and referrals for productive credit for the micro segment. The number of Mandiri Agen rose 12 percent (yoy) to January 2026, reaching 112,650 agent units. This growth was accompanied by accelerated digital adoption via the Mandiri Agen app, with active users increasing 28 percent (yoy) to 81,000 agents at the start of the year. It should be noted that the Mandiri Agen app offers more comprehensive transaction capabilities and faster processing times than the EDC Mini ATM, delivering a better customer experience. Furthermore, the company states that Mandiri Agen also makes a tangible contribution to national financial inclusion. By January 2026, Mandiri Agen had 3.4 million customers with funds under management (Dana Pihak Ketiga) totaling Rp22.9 trillion. Saptari emphasised that Mandiri Agen stands at the forefront of expanding financial access and driving productive economic activity in society. By offering accessible, safe and reliable services, the company ensures every segment of society has an equal opportunity to grow and develop.
