PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI) continues to drive the disbursement of People’s Business Credit (KUR). This step aligns with the government’s focus on accelerating grassroots economic growth.

Up to February 2026, the state-owned bank has disbursed KUR amounting to Rp7.35 trillion to 59,327 SME actors across Indonesia. In terms of credit quality, Bank Mandiri’s KUR portfolio remains well-managed with a non-performing loan rate below 1%, reflecting sustained excellence in business management.

Bank Mandiri’s Consumer Banking Director, Saptari, stated that this realisation equates to 17.92% of the bank’s Rp41 trillion KUR target for 2026. According to him, this disbursement serves as concrete evidence of synergy between the government, banking sector, and business community in accelerating people-based economic growth.

“KUR support is not just about financing, but also about empowerment. Through broader access to capital, we aim to help SME actors strengthen production capacity, expand employment opportunities, and enhance competitiveness. This embodies the ‘Synergy for National Progress’ that we implement sustainably,” Saptari said in an official statement on Monday (30/3/2026).

He continued that KUR disbursements up to February 2026 were dominated by the production sector at 61.83%, or Rp4.54 trillion. Of this amount, the agriculture sector, as a driver of national food security, reached Rp2.21 trillion, the production services sector Rp1.65 trillion, the processing industry sector Rp568 billion, and the fisheries sector Rp107 billion.

Since the government launched the KUR programme in 2008 up to February 2026, the total accumulated KUR disbursements by Bank Mandiri have reached Rp310.59 trillion to 3.65 million debtors across Indonesia. This low-interest credit has helped millions of business actors enhance their business capacity and expand their markets.

To accelerate and maintain the quality of KUR disbursements, Bank Mandiri also implements an ecosystem-based financing approach from derivative wholesale customers, oriented towards strengthening leading production sectors in various regions. Through a closed-loop strategy, synergy between wholesale customers, SME actors, and business partners within one value chain is optimised to improve efficiency and business sustainability.

Additionally, Bank Mandiri consistently serves the daily transaction and instalment payment needs of KUR debtors through Mandiri Agents (Smart Agent Partners of Bank Mandiri) spread across various SME business ecosystems. This programme is accompanied by financial services education and digital literacy to enable business actors to manage finances inclusively and modernly.

Looking ahead, Bank Mandiri is ready to support government efforts in accelerating KUR disbursements in 2026. This commitment is executed through strengthening ecosystem-based financing strategies, via integrated synergy within the Mandiri Group.

“With close collaboration with the government and support from a maturing digital ecosystem, we ensure that KUR is disbursed on target and delivers real impact for society. Strong SMEs will create more jobs and form the foundation for food security and national welfare,” Saptari concluded.
