Bank Jatim's Latest JConnect Enhances Digital Connectivity
Bank Jatim continues to strengthen its commitment to digital transformation by introducing the latest innovation through the Pre-Event Launching of JConnect, themed Road to JConnect Zone, held in Kota Lama Surabaya on Saturday, 18 April 2026.
The event was attended by the bank’s board of directors, including President Director Winardi Legowo, as part of strategic steps towards increasingly integrated digital banking services.
Winardi emphasised that innovation is the lifeblood of Bank Jatim in addressing the dynamics of customer needs. Digital transformation began in 2016 with mobile banking services, which were later strengthened by rebranding to JConnect in 2021. “This rebranding is not merely a name change, but a manifestation of our commitment to providing boundless connectivity for the community,” he stated.
On this occasion, Bank Jatim officially introduced the latest version of JConnect, developed based on customer feedback. The app introduces 36 new features designed to enhance comfort and ease of transactions.
Key features include biometric login, integrated portfolios, top-ups for e-wallets such as OVO, GoPay, DANA, and e-money, as well as more transparent online complaint services. Additionally, there are card management features, scheduled transfers, and app display personalisation with colour theme options.
To date, the number of registered JConnect users has reached approximately 1.02 million. With the launch of the latest version, Bank Jatim targets significant growth to 2 million users by December 2026.
As the pinnacle of this series of innovations, Bank Jatim will hold the Grand Launching of JConnect Zone on 1–3 May 2026 at Grand City Surabaya. The event will feature various interactive activities, from digital banking experiences and collaborations with SMEs and lifestyle merchants, exclusive promotions, digital literacy talkshows, workshops, to entertainment from local and national artists. Furthermore, public services such as vehicle tax payments and free health check-ups will be available to the general public.
JConnect is designed to reach all customer segments, from retail, SMEs, to corporates.
With its ease of use, the app is expected to become an inclusive digital financial solution, both for the younger generation and communities in areas with limited access to banking services. “We hope JConnect can become the primary digital platform that not only facilitates transactions but also helps the community achieve their financial goals,” Winardi concluded.
