Bank Jatim Launches Latest JConnect, Attracts Enthusiasm from Thousands of Visitors

Bank Jatim has officially launched the latest version of JConnect through the climax of the event titled JConnect Zone, held from 1–3 May 2026 at Grand City Surabaya. This event serves as a crucial milestone in strengthening Bank Jatim’s digital transformation to deliver modern, inclusive banking services for the people of East Java.

The event was attended by East Java Deputy Governor Emil Elestianto Dardak, members of the Board of Commissioners, Sharia Supervisory Board, Bank Jatim’s Board of Directors, and thousands of enthusiastic members of the public who witnessed the latest digital innovations. In his remarks, Emil praised Bank Jatim’s commitment to providing secure and easily accessible digital-based financial services. He viewed the JConnect innovation as a strategic step amid changing societal behaviour that increasingly relies on digital transactions.

“Banks should naturally have an advantage in serving the public through digital means. I appreciate Bank Jatim’s innovations that continue to strive to realise the latest version of JConnect,” said Emil. He is also optimistic that the development of features in this application can drive improvements in financial literacy and inclusion, as well as strengthen regional economic growth.

Bank Jatim President Director Winardi Legowo emphasised that JConnect is an adaptation to customer needs in the digital era. According to him, the latest version of JConnect introduces 36 flagship features designed based on user needs, ranging from easy password changes without visiting a branch to a more secure and practical biometric-based login system.

“JConnect is a manifestation of our commitment to delivering fast, secure, modern, and relevant banking services. Currently, JConnect users have reached around 1,025,000, and we target increasing to 2 million users by December 2026,” explained Winardi.

Over the three days of the JConnect Zone event, Bank Jatim successfully acquired more than 100,000 new users. Additionally, the number of attendees reached more than 27,000 people, demonstrating the high public interest in the offered digital services.

Various activities enlivened the event, from financial literacy talkshows, 3-on-3 basketball competitions, exhibition booths of various brands, national artist music concerts, to transaction promo programmes and attractive prizes for JConnect users.
