PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk. (BJTM) has implemented a write-off mechanism amounting to Rp 1.03 trillion. Bank Jatim’s President Director, Winardi Legowo, stated that from this amount, the recovery rate stands at 18.6%, equivalent to Rp 192 billion. According to him, this step also represents an effort to improve the company’s asset quality as a financial institution. The company has also implemented collection incentives outside the financial statements to stimulate increased receipts from written-off loans. Furthermore, it offers interest and penalty relief to encourage debtors to settle their obligations, up to partial settlement of collateral and flexibility in collateral redemption to accelerate loan resolutions. In addition, the company has undertaken restructuring as a rescue measure for debtors experiencing deteriorating collectibility. The total credit restructured by Bank Jatim amounts to Rp 4.17 trillion. “And of course, we routinely monitor and control the performance of handling problematic loans on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis, led by the Board of Directors,” he said when met in Jakarta on Monday (31/3). Bank Jatim’s asset value throughout 2025 totals Rp 105.8 trillion, representing a 3.70% annual growth. The asset composition derives from contributions of productive assets, including an increase in loan disbursements to Rp 67.2 trillion, or a 4.98% year-on-year rise, treasury business management, and third-party funds growing by 1.43% year-on-year. “Bank Jatim also successfully recorded a net profit of Rp 1.54 trillion, up 20.65% from the previous year,” he explained. Bank Jatim’s loan disbursements throughout 2025 grew by 4.98% year-on-year to Rp 67.24 trillion. The composition consists of consumer credit of Rp 36.54 trillion, up 6.20% year-on-year, and productive credit of Rp 30.7 trillion, up 3.55% year-on-year.
