Bank Jakarta Wins Gold Regulatory Compliance Award
Bank Jakarta’s strong commitment to implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) has yielded results. The bank has won the Gold Regulatory Compliance award at the Indonesia Regulatory Compliance Awards 2026, held in Jakarta on Thursday (22 May). The award, organised by Hukumonline, is given to companies that integrate legal compliance into strategic and operational business decisions. This achievement signals that Bank Jakarta’s governance and compliance culture is strengthening amid rising demands for transparency and sustainability in the national banking sector. Bank Jakarta’s Compliance Director, Ateng Rivai, said the award recognises the bank’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance standards and compliance with banking regulations. “With sound governance, we are confident in enhancing public trust and delivering added value to all stakeholders,” Ateng stated in a written release. He added that a strong compliance culture is crucial for banks to maintain business stability and enhance competitiveness amid increasingly complex financial industry dynamics. Ateng also dedicated the award to all stakeholders who have supported the company’s transformation and compliance culture strengthening within Bank Jakarta. The Indonesia Regulatory Compliance Awards is a self-assessment-based award with a structured methodology that evaluates companies on various aspects of legal compliance and sustainable governance. Assessments include compliance monitoring, internal regulation socialisation, compliance-supporting technology innovation, and human resource development strategies. Meanwhile, Bank Jakarta’s Company Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, affirmed that the award reinforces the company’s commitment to consistently applying GCG principles. “By consistently applying GCG, we are confident in maintaining healthy company performance and boosting stakeholder confidence,” said Arie. Legal counsel Martin Haendra Nata stated that all actions taken by his client in the crude oil and refinery products management case involving PT Pertamina were conducted in accordance with GCG principles. PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda), or jakpro, affirmed its strong commitment to consistently and sustainably applying Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reports have become key instruments for assessing a corporation’s governance quality, integrity, and sustainability. Efforts to encourage businesses to prioritise integrity as a core principle in operations were reaffirmed through the Corporate Governance Perception Index 2025 awards. PT Patra Jasa once again achieved a notable milestone by winning the Indonesia Trusted Companies Award at the Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) Awards 2025.
