Bank DKI opens new office
JAKARTA: City-owned Bank DKI has opened a new subbranch office on Jl. Panglima Polim in South Jakarta on Friday as part of its effort to upgrade services to customers in the southern part of the capital.
"We are targeting to net more customers from at least 640 companies operating in the area that employ more than 6,400 workers," said the bank's president director Hasan Soeftendy.
In the past five years, the bank has managed to collect funds from the public of up to Rp 1.2 trillion (US$130.34 million) as of December last year from only Rp 350 billion in 2000.
"This year, we expect to raise funds from the public totaling Rp 1.4 trillion," Hasan added.
The bank reported that it managed to double its assets over the past five years to Rp 6.9 trillion in 2004, from a base of only Rp 3.2 trillion in 2000.
The bank now has 12 branch offices, 26 subbranch offices, 45 cash offices, and eight payment centers. --JP
