Bank DKI opens new office<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: City-owned Bank DKI has opened a new subbranch office
\non Jl. Panglima Polim in South Jakarta on Friday as part of its
\neffort to upgrade services to customers in the southern part of
\nthe capital.<\/p>\n
\"We are targeting to net more customers from at least 640
\ncompanies operating in the area that employ more than 6,400
\nworkers,\" said the bank's president director Hasan Soeftendy.<\/p>\n
In the past five years, the bank has managed to collect funds
\nfrom the public of up to Rp 1.2 trillion (US$130.34 million) as
\nof December last year from only Rp 350 billion in 2000.<\/p>\n
\"This year, we expect to raise funds from the public totaling
\nRp 1.4 trillion,\" Hasan added.<\/p>\n
The bank reported that it managed to double its assets over
\nthe past five years to Rp 6.9 trillion in 2004, from a base of
\nonly Rp 3.2 trillion in 2000.<\/p>\n
The bank now has 12 branch offices, 26 subbranch offices, 45
\ncash offices, and eight payment centers. --JP<\/p>",
