The legal representatives of Nina Saliha are urging the management of dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital in Bandung to explain the case of her baby that was nearly taken by someone else. Member of the legal team, Krisna Murti, stated that RSHS Bandung is demanding the hospital dismiss the nurse and punish the security personnel involved.

“We are also requesting the hospital to conduct DNA testing and release the CCTV footage,” Krisna said in the lobby of RSHS Bandung on Monday, 13 April 2026.

The DNA test, or deoxyribonucleic acid, according to Krisna, is to confirm that the baby belongs to his client. Before that examination, an independent team needs to be formed. “Because the baby was once handed over to another person, whether that baby is confirmed to belong to our client or not,” he said.

Meanwhile, the surveillance camera footage or CCTV is needed to identify who took Nina’s baby. If it is not released, according to Krisna, his client will report it so that the police can uncover it. “From this person, the motive of the incident can be depicted,” he said.

Another member of the legal team, Mira Widyawati, said the incident is suspected to be related to an attempted baby kidnapping, and its elements are fulfilled. “Such as moving the victim’s baby to another location and under their control,” she said.

As a result of the incident, Nina is said to have experienced psychological disturbances. Nina and her family, along with their legal team, visited RSHS Bandung today to submit their demands in writing.

Their arrival was handled by the legal management of RSHS Bandung, accompanied by a closed meeting. After the meeting, the RSHS Bandung side refused to provide statements to journalists waiting. The legal team has asked RSHS Bandung to respond to the demands submitted within 3x24 hours.

Previously, Nina Saliha, 27 years old, revealed the incident she experienced at RSHS Bandung through social media. On Wednesday, 8 April, while waiting for news of the planned discharge, her baby was taken by someone else. “If it was a few minutes late, my child might have been lost,” she said when contacted on Friday, 10 April 2026.

Nina’s baby was treated in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) room at RSHS after giving birth at another hospital.

In response to the issue, the RSHS Bandung side expressed an apology for the discomfort in the service experienced by Nina. RSHS Bandung will conduct an evaluation and improvement of health services to the public in accordance with applicable provisions.

A team from RSHS has met with Nina. “The complaint has been resolved amicably,” said the RSHS Bandung management through their written statement on Thursday night, 9 April 2026.

RSHS states its commitment to continue providing the best service and making continuous improvements to maintain public trust in the hospital’s health services.
