Bali United has received a heavy sanction from the PSSI Disciplinary Committee in the form of a two-match home ban without spectators. In addition, Bali United has also been fined Rp 380 million.

This follows the chaos that occurred during the Bali United vs Persija Jakarta match in the continuation of the 2025/2026 Super League at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, on Sunday (15/2). The match was marked by the lighting of flares, fireworks, firecrackers, and the throwing of bottles and chairs onto the field by Bali United supporters.

Bali United’s Media Officer, Alexander Mahaputra, confirmed the sanctions imposed by the PSSI Disciplinary Committee on the team. According to him, Bali United received a letter of decision from the Disciplinary Committee referring to the matches against Persebaya and Persija.

“There are four letters of decision from the Disciplinary Committee based on the Persebaya and Persija matches. If the total amount of the fine is added up, it does match that figure, and there are two home matches without spectators,” said Alex when confirmed by detikBali, Wednesday (25/2/2026).

The imposition of sanctions and fines was also announced by Bali United through an Instagram post on Tuesday (24/2). The two home matches without spectators in question are the Bali United matches against Persijap Jepara and PSBS Biak.

Then, the total fine that must be paid by the management of Bali United is Rp 380 million. The details are Rp 60 million for lighting flares during the match against Persebaya.

There is also a fine of Rp 320 million for the chaos during the duel between Bali United and Persija. The punishment was given because supporters lit 15 flares and fireworks, threw bottled water, and threw chairs onto the field during the match.

The incident occurred a few minutes before the end of normal time. Initially, one flare was lit in the north stand. A few moments later, it was followed by dozens of flares being lit in the north stand and the south-east wing of the east stand. In addition, the sound of firecrackers and fireworks was also heard at the Dipta Stadium.

In addition to the flare, firework, and firecracker incidents, supporters were also deemed to have overreacted by throwing bottles of bottled water and chairs onto the field. In fact, one of the Bali United match organizers was hit by a thrown chair.

It is known that Bali United vs Persijap Jepara in the continuation of week 23 of the 2025/2026 Super League will take place on Saturday (28/2/2026). Then, Bali United will host PSBS Biak on April 6. As a result of the sanctions, Ricky Fajrin and his team will play without spectators in the stadium.
