Bali tourists lack guides

DENPASAR: Tourism dropped yesterday as tour guides and drivers flocked to polling booths.

Mulyadi of the Bali Cahaya travel agency told Antara that they were not providing as many tourism packages.

"We have difficulty finding drivers and tour guides," he said.

Another agency reported a similar situation.

A group of Taiwanese tourists had to delay their visit to several sites, Mulyadi added.

Drivers and tour guides were available later in the day. They immediately went back to work, taking visitors to sites such as Kintamani, Tampak Siring and Goa Gajah. (anr)
