Bali Police Meet South Korean Consulate to Discuss Strengthening Tourist Security
Officials from the Sub-Directorate for VIP Protection of the Bali Police’s Directorate for Securing Vital Objects met with representatives from the South Korean Consulate. The meeting discussed improvements to security measures and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
In the meeting held last Tuesday (14/7), the South Korean Consulate provided clarification regarding the latest travel advisory for its citizens. The consulate emphasised that the advisory is a routine safety reminder, not a prohibition or restriction on travel to Bali.
In addition, they expressed appreciation for Bali Police’s prompt response and confirmed that they have updated their communications to reflect the current security conditions in Bali.
“The safety and comfort of all visitors, including our Korean friends, remains our top priority,” said Inspector General of Police Daniel Adityajaya in a written statement on Tuesday (14/4/2026).
“This partnership demonstrates our shared commitment to maintaining Bali as a world-class safe tourism destination,” he added.
The collaboration between Bali Police and the South Korean Consulate is expected to further strengthen international confidence in Bali’s tourism sector.
Furthermore, this cooperation reinforces Bali’s reputation as a safe and welcoming tourism destination for visitors from around the world.
Bali Police continues to prioritise the safety of foreign nationals through several concrete measures. These efforts include:
Increased patrols in tourist areas and high-traffic zones,
Strengthened coordination with tourism stakeholders and foreign diplomatic missions,
Investigation and resolution of cases involving foreign nationals.
Data from Bali Police shows a positive trend in security aspects. There was a 23% decrease in criminal cases involving foreign nationals in the period from January to April 2026 compared to the same period the previous year.
