The Food Task Force (Satgas Pangan) of Bali Regional Police, working alongside other relevant agencies, is monitoring essential commodity prices across various traditional markets, modern shops, and shopping centres throughout the Bali region. This activity aims to ensure the availability and price stability of essential goods for the community.

“The team is conducting direct inspections of major commodities such as rice, cooking oil, chillies, shallots, garlic, meat, and other essential items,” said Ariasandy, Head of Public Relations at Bali Regional Police, in a statement on Saturday (28 February 2026).

Ariasandy explained that officers are engaging directly with traders and shop managers to understand the price developments of various essential commodities. This includes checking stock conditions and the smooth distribution of goods from distributors to retailers.

“In addition to monitoring prices, the Food Task Force is also ensuring that hoarding practices or unjustifiable price increases do not occur,” he added.

According to Ariasandy, oversight is conducted comprehensively to maintain price equilibrium in the market. He emphasised that Bali Regional Police, together with other relevant agencies, is committed to maintaining price stability and the availability of essential commodities so that the community does not feel burdened in meeting their daily needs.

“This effort is expected to provide a sense of security, comfort, and certainty for the community when shopping,” he concluded.
