The Bali Regional Police’s Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) destroyed narcotics evidence resulting from several cases at the Bali Regional Police Headquarters on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. The total value of the destroyed evidence is estimated at Rp23.4 billion.

The seized items were: methamphetamine (sabu) weighing 5,661.86 grams; ecstasy tablets 4,932 tablets or 2,453.92 grams; cocaine 1,186.75 grams; cannabis (marijuana) 10.58 grams; hashish 2.32 grams; THC 35.96 grams; and psilocybin 2 grams.

“The data we have stored is not just numbers, but a real reflection of how serious and dangerous the crime of narcotics abuse is,” said Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya at the Bali Regional Police Headquarters, on Wednesday, 4 March 2026.

Director of Narcotics Investigation (Dirresnarkoba) Bali Police Kombes Radiant explained the destruction was conducted to prevent the potential misuse of the evidence.

“The purpose of destroying the evidence is to reduce the risk of the evidence being altered, lost, or misused,” he said.

He added that the activity also serves as a form of public transparency and a commitment by the police to curb the circulation of illicit narcotics, to create a safer social environment.

The event was attended by representatives from the Attorney General’s Office, the District Court, the Health Service, the Bali Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (Balai Besar POM Bali), the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, the Bali National Narcotics Agency (BNNP Bali), and community leaders, as a form of oversight and accountability of the legal process.

The destruction of narcotics evidence was conducted in accordance with the mandate of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics.

Daniel reminded all members of society not to engage in narcotics abuse, including law enforcers. He also stressed that every gram of narcotics destroyed is not merely evidence erased, but a tangible safeguard for the future of the nation’s youth, especially Bali’s younger generation, from the threat of narcotics abuse and illicit trafficking.

“Let us all refrain from approaching or becoming involved in narcotics abuse and trafficking; this applies not only to the public but also to law enforcement officers,” he asserted.
