Bali Police Chief Joins Beach Clean-up Drive at Padanggalak Beach
Bali’s Regional Police Chief Irjen Daniel Adityajaya participated in a beach clean-up drive at Padanggalak Beach in Denpasar, Bali. The initiative, titled the “Clean Bali Waste Movement,” was conducted in synergy with relevant agencies and other community elements.
The activity was also attended by Bali Governor Wayan Koster and Pangdam IX/Udayana Mayjen TNI Piek Budyakto. Present as well were senior officials from Kodam IX/Udayana, senior Bali Police officials, military and police personnel, students, and members of the general public.
“Through this activity, it is hoped that awareness will grow that beach cleanliness must become a daily practice. Synergy between government, the military and police, and society is the key to realising Bali as a showcase for national tourism that is clean and sustainable,” said Kombes Ariasandy, Head of Public Relations at Bali Police, in a statement on Sunday (1 March 2026).
Ariasandy revealed that the beach clean-up drive was a follow-up to a verbal instruction from President Prabowo Subianto. According to him, the activity demonstrated a concrete manifestation of the “Indonesia ASRI Movement” (Safe, Healthy, Clean, Beautiful).
“This waste clean-up drive is also a form of full support for the Indonesia ASRI Movement that has been launched by the President of the Republic, General TNI (Retired) H. Prabowo Subianto, including in waste management,” he added.
Participants appeared enthusiastic in clearing rubbish along Padanggalak Beach. In addition to preserving marine ecosystem integrity and protecting marine life from plastic waste, the activity is expected to prevent water pollution and contribute towards achieving sustainable tourism in Bali.
Ariasandy stated that such activities would continue to be carried out. He hopes that the waste problem in Bali can be resolved systematically, sustainably, and consistently.
