Bali Immigration Nets 62 Foreign Nationals in Patroli Dharma Dewata Operation
Denpasar (ANTARA) - The Bali Provincial Office of the Directorate General of Immigration has netted a total of 62 foreign nationals (WNA) during the implementation of the Patroli Dharma Dewata operation from 15 April to 4 May 2026.
“If there are no criminal elements in the follow-up, we will deport them immediately,” said the Head of the Bali Provincial Immigration Office, Felucia Sengky Ratna, during the closing of the operation and a press conference on its results in Denpasar, Bali, on Tuesday.
If criminal elements are found during the examination of these foreign nationals, the office will coordinate with the police for further action.
For now, he continued, the 62 foreigners apprehended were due to violating Article 75(1) of the Immigration Law, namely foreign nationals engaging in dangerous activities that are reasonably suspected to endanger public security and order or failing to respect or obey applicable laws and regulations.
However, he did not disclose more details about the nationalities of the apprehended foreigners, as it concerns sensitive foreign relations matters.
All the apprehended foreign nationals are currently undergoing in-depth examinations by immigration officers and are being held in detention rooms at their respective immigration offices.
In addition to deportation, the foreign nationals caught in the patrol will also be added to the list of those banned from entering Indonesia, with the decision and duration determined by the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta.
He also explained that the implementation of the patrol operation is important not only for maintaining order and security but also for protecting the community’s economic ecosystem and a conducive investment climate.
“This effort (the patrol) helps protect the honour of Bali’s tourism. This patrol is a form of our commitment to ensure that only beneficial foreign nationals who also respect local values enter Bali,” he stated.
He added that oversight of foreign nationals does not stop with this operation but continues sustainably in daily activities.
