Jakarta (ANTARA) - Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia has assured that the national energy stocks are in a safe condition after directly reporting the supply readiness to President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday. Bahlil stated that the availability of fuel oil (BBM), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and crude oil is currently above the national minimum standard threshold. “I reported to the President regarding the readiness for our BBM up to today, as well as LPG and crude; all are above the national minimum standard,” Bahlil said. The government will continue to monitor the national energy reserves to ensure smooth distribution and that the needs of the public and industrial sector remain fulfilled. The government is also committed to maintaining national energy resilience through stock oversight, smooth distribution, and coordination with all energy sector stakeholders. “So, insyaallah, there are no problems,” he added. One effort to maintain national energy supply resilience amid global geopolitical dynamics is to import crude oil from Russia, which will soon arrive in Indonesia. This step is also part of realising the commitment to import 150 million barrels of oil from Russia, to be carried out in phases until the end of 2026. The government is currently prioritising the availability of all types of fuel oil (BBM) to meet the needs of the public and industry. There are two options being considered by the government for importing 150 million barrels of crude oil from Russia. The first option is to import it directly through state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and the second option is to import through Public Service Agencies (BLU).
