Bahasa Indonesia better

Bahasa Indonesia better

As a student of Bahasa Indonesia and a lover of my own English
language, I think Hotel dan Mal Citraland is worthy of ridicule.
It is certainly not English, but neither is it Bahasa Indonesia,
I believe.

May I suggest, with full apologies for my poor understanding
of your language, that Wisma dan Pasar Tanah Asri might possibly
be appropriate?

By the way, "mal" (with one l) means "sick" in French. It is
also used in this sense in English, as in "malcontent". The
original Mall in London is, of course, the avenue leading up to
Buckingham Palace. Perhaps the Jakarta equivalent, needed to
translate this word, is Medan Merdeka Barat or Monas.

In a shopping mall, one often Moans and feels sick because of
the high prices, so Monas would be much better than Pasar, on
reflection.
