Awaiting Solutions for Bandung Zoo Management

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – Solutions for managing the Bandung Zoo have yet to see any clear progress. 5 May 2026 marks the deadline for feed supplies from the Ministry of Forestry. Meanwhile, the determination of the party to manage the Bandung Zoo remains undecided to this day. The Bandung Zoo employees hope the manager selection process can be completed soon so that zoo operations can resume and provide benefits to the community. The Bandung City Government is currently applying for temporary conservation institution permission for management, including feed availability at the Bandung Zoo, which has been closed for nearly a year, to the Ministry of Forestry to ensure that the 711 animals at the Bandung Zoo are not relocated.
