Jakarta — Citizens can now monitor traffic conditions on Eid homecoming routes in 2026 directly through 1,351 CCTV cameras distributed across various toll road sections and national roads.

This facility is available through the government’s digital homecoming information platform. The Ministry of Public Works has launched a digital homecoming platform accessible via mudik.pu.go.id.

Through this platform, citizens can monitor homecoming route conditions in real time before and during their journey. “Through this platform, citizens can monitor road conditions in real time. It provides access to CCTV monitoring spread across various road sections so citizens can understand traffic conditions before travelling,” said Dody in a statement on Saturday (14 March 2026).

The platform provides access to monitoring from 1,351 CCTV points, consisting of 1,270 points on the toll road network, 41 points on the non-toll national road network, and 40 CCTV points operated by the Ministry of Transportation integrated into the homecoming information system.

Beyond CCTV monitoring, the platform offers various homecoming route information features, including national road network maps, road and bridge conditions, homecoming post locations, heavy equipment and materials locations, and traffic congestion, flooding, accident and landslide hotspots.

By utilising the platform, citizens can monitor route conditions before departure and during their journey. This information can also be used to adjust travel times or select alternative routes if congestion or disruptions occur on main routes.

As a precautionary measure against potential disruptions on homecoming routes, the Ministry of Public Works has also prepared Disaster Relief Units at several disaster-prone locations. The DRU is equipped with heavy equipment, materials and technical teams that can be deployed immediately if disruptions occur due to disasters such as landslides, floods or road damage.

Additionally, emergency response posts and teams have been stationed at several strategic locations to support smooth citizen mobility during the Eid homecoming period. Meanwhile, the national toll road network has reached approximately 3,115 kilometres, supporting inter-regional connectivity.

Dody emphasised that in the digital era, the availability of rapid and accurate information is crucial in supporting smooth travel, particularly when mobility increases such as during the Eid homecoming period. “In today’s era, rapid information is often as important as infrastructure readiness itself. Therefore, we are launching this information platform so citizens can monitor homecoming route conditions directly,” he concluded.
