AVC president offers moral support to victims of the Iran–US war
The President of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), Ramon Suzara, offered moral support to those affected by the conflict in Iran. ‘On behalf of the entire AVC, I would like to express my deepest condolences to all those affected by this deeply worrying situation,’ Suzara wrote in the AVC’s statement on Tuesday. ‘I sincerely hope that you, your family, and your loved ones are safe and well. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all,’ Suzara added. Suzara urged every Asian volleyball federation to unite in taking action in response to the conflict involving Iran and the United States–Israel. ‘We are fully committed to supporting you through this difficult period,’ he wrote. The US–Iran war has intensified to the point of costing the life of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response to the attack, Iran retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf states that host US military assets.
