Automotive Components Industry Eyes Growing Aftermarket Market
The Indonesian automotive parts industry is targeting the expanding aftermarket market, seeing growing demand for high-quality components as customers seek reliable, precision-made parts. The Indonesia International Trade Show for Automotive Industry 2026, or INAPA 2026, the largest automotive and spare parts expo in the ASEAN region, was used by manufacturers to broaden markets and demonstrate technological capabilities. The event took place from 20-22 May 2026 at Jakarta International Expo and was organised by GEM Indonesia under the aegis of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia. In this event, the Tjokro Group was among the companies leveraging the expo to strengthen its business penetration in the automotive aftermarket segment. During the exhibition, the company’s booth was crowded with industry visitors, revealing manufacturing capacity wider than some attendees had previously assumed. CEO Yudi Tjokro said the company’s participation aimed not only to introduce products but also to open market opportunities and new business networks. “Our main focus at this event is to target the aftermarket market, a niche that continues to grow and requires consistent high-quality components,” he said. At the show, the company displayed several standout mechanical components such as aluminium casting, engine components, and truck housing parts used in commercial and heavy-duty vehicles. The company noted that truck housing parts and aluminium casting components were among the most popular with visitors due to their high precision and strong material durability. Yudi said many new visitors learned about the breadth of the company’s production capabilities after seeing the products demonstrated on site. “They initially thought we were only involved in repair work or standard machining, but we also have the capability to manufacture high-precision components such as aluminium casting and heavy-vehicle housing parts,” he stated. The heightened visitor interest was also evident from the large number of information requests and collaboration discussions that arose during the expo. Most potential partners came from industry players seeking new manufacturing suppliers for automotive components as well as components for other industries. The Tjokro Group assessed that participation in INAPA 2026 could positively impact business growth through partnership opportunities and new contracts. “We are optimistic that the business leads obtained from INAPA 2026 can soon be converted into new collaborations,” concluded Yudi.
