Australian National Deported from Dompu for Violating Residence Permit and Managing Lodging
An Australian citizen with the initials PDN has been deported by the Bima Immigration Office in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The 54-year-old woman was found to have engaged in activities inconsistent with her residence permit in Dompu.
“She was deported because PDN misused her residence permit,” said Head of the Non-TPI Class II Immigration Office of Bima, Joko Widodo, to detikBali on Friday (12/6/2026).
PDN was deported through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali on Wednesday (10/6/2026). The action was taken as a form of law enforcement against a foreign national proven to have misused her residence permit.
Prior to the deportation, Bima Immigration officers conducted an examination and clarification. As a result, PDN was found guilty of carrying out activities inconsistent with the purpose and objective of the granting of the Investor Limited Stay Permit (ITAS).
Furthermore, Joko explained, discrepancies were found in the data during the process of obtaining PDN’s residence permit, along with her direct involvement in the operational management of a lodging business in Dompu.
“Based on these facts and admissions, we from the Bima Immigration Office decided to deport PDN to her country of origin, Australia,” Joko said.
Joko explained that PDN was proven guilty of violating Article 122 letter a and Article 123 letter a of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.
Joko added that supervision and enforcement regarding the presence and activities of foreign nationals will continue to be carried out optimally to support the implementation of the selective policy. Law enforcement is part of the effort to maintain immigration order.
“We ensure that every foreign national residing and conducting activities in Indonesia complies with the applicable laws and regulations,” Joko concluded.
