        "content": "<p>An Australian citizen with the initials PDN has been deported by the\nBima Immigration Office in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The 54-year-old\nwoman was found to have engaged in activities inconsistent with her\nresidence permit in Dompu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was deported because PDN misused her residence permit,\u201d said\nHead of the Non-TPI Class II Immigration Office of Bima, Joko Widodo, to\ndetikBali on Friday (12\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>PDN was deported through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in\nBali on Wednesday (10\/6\/2026). The action was taken as a form of law\nenforcement against a foreign national proven to have misused her\nresidence permit.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the deportation, Bima Immigration officers conducted an\nexamination and clarification. As a result, PDN was found guilty of\ncarrying out activities inconsistent with the purpose and objective of\nthe granting of the Investor Limited Stay Permit (ITAS).<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Joko explained, discrepancies were found in the data\nduring the process of obtaining PDN\u2019s residence permit, along with her\ndirect involvement in the operational management of a lodging business\nin Dompu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on these facts and admissions, we from the Bima Immigration\nOffice decided to deport PDN to her country of origin, Australia,\u201d Joko\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Joko explained that PDN was proven guilty of violating Article 122\nletter a and Article 123 letter a of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning\nImmigration.<\/p>\n<p>Joko added that supervision and enforcement regarding the presence\nand activities of foreign nationals will continue to be carried out\noptimally to support the implementation of the selective policy. Law\nenforcement is part of the effort to maintain immigration order.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe ensure that every foreign national residing and conducting\nactivities in Indonesia complies with the applicable laws and\nregulations,\u201d Joko concluded.<\/p>",
