'Austenergy Directory' useful for int'l buyers

The importation of goods and technology from Australian companies over the past few years has grown dramatically. With Indonesians expecting higher standards and better quality products, Australia is gaining opportunities to enter the Indonesian services, equipment and technology sectors.

More and more Australian companies are finding that doing business in Indonesia is opening new scopes for importing top- quality goods and services.

The Austenergy Directory (Australian Energy Systems Exporters' Group Limited), in association with Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), is published to help international buyers choose the Australian company best suited to them.

Austenergy was jointly initiated by Austrade and Australia's energy systems exports in 1989.

The directory gives clear information on what each company has to offer in terms of expertise. The directory also states, in most cases, what each company's major projects have been.

The directory states that "Austenergy and its members have a vital role as a reliable and valued partner in the Asia-Pacific Region. Like all successful partnerships, both parties must benefit and both must develop trust and mutual confidence. Australia is committed to this course and values the many mutually rewarding associations and friendships already established."

In the back part of The Austenergy Directory there is an Index of Goods and Services and a concise directory of the Austenergy and Austrade Network.

For all practical purposes The Austenergy Directory is a good start to finding what an Indonesian company needs in terms of quality goods and information. Contact the senior trade commissioner at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta for more information.
