Attorney General’s Office Calls Garuda Indonesia Business Director Reza Aulia in Relation to Alleged Governance and Monopoly
JAKARTA - The Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia has secretly summoned a number of parties related to alleged investment issues, business governance, to the potential loss of state revenue in the Garuda airline environment. The name of Garuda Commercial Director, Reza Aulia Hakim, is included in the official call letter issued by the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence.
The document leaked to the media marked “Secret” dated March 3, 2026, the Attorney General’s Office asked Reza to attend on March 9, 2026 at the Attorney General’s Tower Building, South Jakarta. The letter states that the examination is related to a complaint report regarding alleged business investment problems, corporate compliance, corporate governance, to the potential loss of state revenue in the monopoly system of aviation in the Garuda Airlines (AG).
Not only Reza. The Attorney General’s Office also sent a similar letter to former Citilink President Director Darsito Hendro Saputro. The contents of the letter are identical, including a request to bring documents related to the case being investigated by the Kejagung intelligence investigators.
However, until this news was released, there was no official explanation from the Attorney General’s Office or Garuda Indonesia regarding the substance of the examination.
The Head of the Legal Information Center of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, was confirmed on Saturday, May 9, regarding the summons letter did not give an answer. The message sent has not received a response.
Garuda’s Director of Business, Reza Aulia Hakim, whose name is listed in the summons letter from the Attorney General’s Office, has also not responded. Phone calls and messages sent so far have not been answered.
Meanwhile, the Head of Corporate Communications of Garuda Indonesia, Dicky Irchamsyah, when contacted on Sunday, May 10 morning, promised to provide a written statement. However, until noon and afternoon, the promised statement was not sent. When contacted again at night, Dicky did not respond.
As of Monday, May 11 morning and before noon, Dicky also had not given an answer. His mobile phone was active, but the calls made were never picked up.
The emergence of this summons letter immediately caught the attention because it touched on a sensitive issue, namely the alleged monopoly of aviation and the potential loss of the state in the strategic sector of air transportation. This issue has long been a public spotlight, especially regarding ticket prices, business competition, and the management of the red plate airline business.
In the letter, the examination was carried out by the Head of the Investment Section at the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence, Roni Indra. The letter was signed by Director III at the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence, I Putu Gede Astawa.
