Jakarta – The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has seized documentary evidence during searches conducted at the office of Indonesia’s Ombudsman and the home of Ombudsman member Yeka Hendra Fatika. Yeka’s residence, which was searched on Monday 9 March 2026, is located in Cibubur.

“There are documents and electronic evidence,” said Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, Director of Investigation at the Special Crimes Division of the Attorney General’s Office (Jampidsus), in Jakarta on Tuesday 10 March 2026.

Anang Supriatna, Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum), stated that the search was related to allegations of obstruction of investigation and prosecution in a palm oil case. He noted that the case was connected to a corporate corruption case.

The individuals involved include convicted advocate Marcella Santoso and three corporations: Wilmar Group, Permata Hijau Group, and Musim Mas Group. Additionally, the matter relates to civil lawsuits filed by the three corporations with the Administrative Court, with the Ombudsman allegedly providing recommendations to strengthen the claims.

Marcella Santoso was proven to have given bribes to condition the acquittal in a corruption case involving the provision of export facilities for crude palm oil (CPO) and committed money laundering offences in 2025. She provided bribes to the judge handling the CPO case totalling 4 million US dollars, equivalent to approximately 68 billion rupiah.
