Attorney General Reveals Satgas PKH Recovers State Funds of Rp371 Trillion
The Forest Area Control Task Force (Satgas PKH) reports that the total state financial assets recovered since February 2025 amount to Rp371 trillion.
This was stated by the Deputy Chair 1 of the Satgas PKH Director, who is also the Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin, during the handover of Rp11.1 billion from forestry administrative fine collections at the Attorney General’s Office on Friday (10/4).
Burhanuddin noted that the figure comprises forestry administrative fines as well as the value of 57 million hectares of forest land that has been reclaimed.
“Since its establishment in February 2025 until now, it has successfully saved state financial assets amounting to Rp371 trillion,” he said.
In the presence of President Prabowo Subianto, he asserted that weak law enforcement would only lead to the state losing money, losing assets, losing prestige, and losing the ability to prosper the people.
Conversely, he said, strong, intelligent, and directed law enforcement will improve governance, restore state losses, and foster a healthy business climate to deliver tangible impacts on the national economy.
According to him, Indonesia is endowed with significant strategic assets in the form of abundant natural resources, a highly important geopolitical position, and a strong demographic bonus.
However, in the global economic architecture, Indonesia often remains in a suboptimal position. As a supplier of raw materials and a consumer market, while value added and strategic profits flow more to foreign entities.
“This condition indicates that the management of national resources has not yet fully maximised benefits for the people’s welfare,” he stated.
“Therefore, the state has a constitutional responsibility to realise social welfare through an active role in managing the protection and national interests,” he added.
Burhanuddin emphasised that law enforcement cannot be understood merely as a repressive instrument, but must also be positioned as part of state policy in realising social justice and societal welfare.
“Firm law enforcement is necessary within a framework to maintain national stability. The state must not lose to mafias hungry to drain Indonesia’s forest wealth for their own enrichment,” he concluded.
