Asserting Resistance, Iran Rejects Negotiations
Teheran – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araqchi, has affirmed the country’s decision to continue its policy of resistance against aggressors.
“At present, our policy is to continue the resistance, and no negotiations are taking place,” said Araqchi on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
“No negotiations are underway,” he emphasised.
Araqchi stated that regional diplomatic contacts have indeed occurred. However, Teheran’s position remains unchanged.
“Many foreign ministers from the region have contacted Teheran, but Iran’s position remains principled and firm.”
Araqchi referred to efforts by several third countries to act as intermediaries to end the illegal aggression that provoked a firm response from the Islamic Republic. However, he believes that international guarantees are not 100 percent reliable.
“Through the guarantees we create ourselves, no one will dare to wage war against the Iranian people again,” he added.
The foreign minister also stressed that a ceasefire without guarantees is a dangerous cycle that would only lead to the repetition of war. The enemy must learn not to launch any further attacks, and the losses suffered by the Iranian people must be compensated.
