Askrindo transports 500 holidaymakers with travel insurance protection
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) transported 500 participants in the 2026 BUMN Free Homecoming Programme using 10 buses serving 13 routes to various destination cities, while also providing travel insurance. The departure of participants (flag off) took place on 17–18 March 2026 in the Gelora Bung Karno area of Jakarta, as part of the national BUMN joint homecoming programme. “Homecoming is not just a journey, but also a very meaningful moment of togetherness with family. We hope that Askrindo’s presence can provide real benefits while supporting the overall smooth flow of homecoming,” said Askrindo’s Director of Compliance, HR, and Risk Management, Mahelan Prabantarikso, in a written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Askrindo’s Director of Finance & Acting Director of Technical Affairs, Leonardo Henry Gavaza, explained that safety aspects were the primary concern in organising this programme. Therefore, Askrindo also equipped this programme with insurance protection for all participants during the journey. “Each participant receives Personal Accident Insurance protection during the homecoming trip. This is our commitment to providing a sense of security and protection for the homecomers, so they can travel more calmly until they reach their destination,” Leonardo explained. Furthermore, Leonardo added that this initiative is also part of the company’s efforts to increase public literacy on the importance of insurance as a form of self-protection. To empower the younger generation, Askrindo also provided the Smart Vehicle facility to offer a more enjoyable experience, especially for children participating in this programme. The presence of this facility is expected to fill waiting time with interactive and entertaining educational activities. The 2026 BUMN Free Homecoming Programme itself is an annual programme involving various SOEs under the coordination of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises. Overall, the IFG Group along with Askrindo transported around 2,150 participants using 45 buses to various destination areas. The destination cities served include Cirebon, Tasikmalaya, Tegal, Pemalang, Pekalongan, Purwokerto, Kebumen, Purworejo, Magelang, Kudus, Yogyakarta, Solo, Wonogiri, Surabaya, Madiun, Lampung, and Palembang.
