ASEAN reporters to meet in Manado

MANADO, North Sulawesi: The Confederation of ASEAN Journalists
(CAJ) is to hold a four-day seminar here on Sept. 26 on the
economic development of eastern Indonesia.

The seminar is to be opened by Minister of Information
Harmoko, and its speakers include State Minister of Research and
Technology B.J. Habibie.

Some 100 journalists from member states of the Association of
Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) -- Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia,
the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam -- are scheduled
to attend the seminar titled Investment Opportunities in East
Indonesia Within the BIMP-East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA). (mds)
