ASEAN mission visits China

BEIJING (AFP): Trade ministers from Myanmar, Thailand, Laos
and Vietnam will lead large business delegations to the Kunming
Export Commodities Fair over the next week, the China Daily
reported Saturday.

In all, more than 1,500 business-people from 16 nations are
registered to attend the fair in the capital of the southwestern
province of Yunnan, which borders Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos and
is tipped as the next boom region of China.

"This year's fair overshadows the previous four fairs in terms
of participants and enterprises," said Yunnan vice governor Liu
Jing.

"We had to add 300 more booths and even that could not meet
demand."

The fair opened Friday in Kunming and will run for a week.
