Jakarta (ANTARA) - The President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Heru Widodo, stated that cross-sector collaboration is the key to the company’s success in managing the 2026 Lebaran/Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah transport operations safely, smoothly, and under control.

Heru explained that the synergy between ASDP, the Ministry of Transportation, TNI/Polri, KSOP, BPTD, and all stakeholders forms the main foundation in maintaining service stability during the homecoming and return flows.

“This success is the result of close cross-sector collaboration. We appreciate the support from all parties in ensuring optimal services amid high public mobility. This synergy is the key to providing safe and comfortable journeys,” Heru said in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.

He noted that since the beginning of the 2026 Lebaran transport period, ASDP has anticipated traffic surges through measured strategies at four main branches: Merak, Bakauheni, Ketapang, and Gilimanuk.

Fleet optimisation was carried out dynamically with the support of the Arrive-Unload-Depart (TBB) operational pattern to accelerate service cycles. Additionally, buffer zones were activated, and personnel were reinforced at crucial port points.

Meanwhile, ASDP Corporate Secretary Windy Andale added that the single tariff policy accompanied by discount stimuli has had a tangible impact in regulating Lebaran transport on ferry modes.

She mentioned that until 31 March 2026 at 23:59 WIB, the stimulus absorption realisation reached Rp30.05 billion or 84.52 percent of the target, with a beneficiary rate of 116.92 percent.

“This achievement reflects the high enthusiasm of the public towards policies that facilitate access to ferry services,” she explained.

Furthermore, digitalisation through the Ferizy platform has become the backbone of service improvements. The integrated reservation system is able to manage vehicle and passenger flows more orderly, while reducing queues during peak periods.

Cumulatively, from H-8 to H+8 at 06:00 WIB, the total passengers across 15 monitored national routes reached 4,722,213 people, an increase of 6.6 percent from last year’s 4,430,006 people.

Meanwhile, the total vehicles reached 1,215,273 units, up 8 percent from 1,125,178 units in the same period last year.

Looking ahead, Windy stated that ASDP is committed to strengthening service quality through ongoing innovations and operational standard improvements.

“This commitment ensures that every journey for service users remains safe, comfortable, and certain even amid national mobility peaks,” said Windy.

Previously, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi emphasised that all transport modes—land, rail, sea, and air—operated optimally.

He assured that there were no significant obstacles, either in the homecoming or return flows this year.

These achievements are reinforced by various results from independent surveys conducted by the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), KedaiKOPI, and Indikator regarding the 2026 Lebaran/Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah transport organisation.

The ITS survey results indicate that the public satisfaction index (IKM) for this year’s Lebaran transport organisation scored 82.15 (good category), up 3.45 points from 2025.

According to the KedaiKOPI survey institution, 88.8 percent of respondents felt satisfied with the homecoming management organised by the government.

Meanwhile, Indikator recorded that 85.3 percent of the public who went home for Lebaran expressed their satisfaction.
