Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Borobudur Branch of Bank Artha Graha Internasional (BAGI), together with Artha Graha Peduli, held the Affordable Dawn Sales Market activity on Jalan Pejambon in Central Jakarta, targeting traders who need access to affordable basic necessities. The event ran from 06:00 WIB until completion, where three packages of staple goods were distributed directly to the traders. “This Affordable Dawn Sales Market programme is intended to help alleviate the burden on small business actors, particularly dawn food vendors, so they can continue their businesses with more efficient operational costs,” said Branch Director of BAGI Borobudur Branch Yustina Tambunan in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday. In addition, this activity also serves as a tangible form of social concern for the community that starts economic activities from the early hours. Entering the last week of Ramadan leading up to Eid al-Fitr, Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) is expanding the scope of the programme, especially in the Jabodetabek region, by introducing additional strategic food commodities. Through this event, the public can obtain frozen meat for Rp70,000 per kilogram and chicken eggs for Rp25,000 per kilogram through meat operations and market operations schemes. During the same period, AGP also provides kitchen commodity packages consisting of red bird’s eye chillies, curly red chillies, and shallots for Rp50,000 per package. This package is presented to help the community meet the needs of cooking ingredients that generally increase ahead of Eid al-Fitr. “We consistently present various social programmes that directly touch the needs of the community. It is hoped that this activity will not only provide economic benefits but also strengthen the relationship between financial institutions and local communities,” added Yustina.
